iTouch ID offers us a fingerprint sensor for the Mac

For several years now, various manufacturers have chosen to protect their laptops by adding a fingerprint sensor. While is true that not as comfortable to use as the iPhone's Touch ID, perfectly performs its function and allows us to prevent access to our PC without our fingerprint or password, if applicable.

While Apple didn't just add a fingerprint sensor to its devices and this is already currently in almost all mobile devices that it has on the market based on iOS, if we want to be able to unlock our Mac with our fingerprint we have to resort to third-party devices.

If we are tired of having to enter our password every time we turn on the Mac, we can make use of third-party applications connected with the iPhone so that once we are near the Mac this is unlocked. Or we can support a new device seeking funding on Kickstarter called iTouch ID.

iTouch ID is a device that connects to the USB of our Mac (it is also valid for PC) and nallows you to automatically unlock your Mac by swiping your finger over the sensor. This sensor not only allows us to unlock access to our Mac but also allows us to use it as the 1Password application.

When we are on the access page to any service that requests our username and password, we just have to swipe the sensor so that the fields are automatically filled with our information that we have previously entered and configured in the application accompanying this device.

iTouchID will be available in various colors and we can now reserve our unit for 99 US dollars. The total amount required to carry out the project is NZ $ 73.000 and they are currently raising nearly $ 43.000 when there are still 18 days to finish the project search for financing.
