January 2018 is the month chosen to remove 32-bit applications from the Mac App Store

Applications for 32-bit devices on iOS devices are being abandoned by Apple and with iOS 11 it is planned that they will no longer be available in the new application store. This new version of iOS iOS 11 is only compatible with all Apple devices managed with 64-bit processors and therefore they are eliminated. Now it is known that Apple, in addition to eliminating these applications for iOS devices, will also do so with the new macOS and the Mac App Store, but in this case it offers developers a margin of time until next time. January 2018 which is when all these apps will be out.

The official announcement has been made in the Worldwide Developer Conference that is taking place this week in San Jose and it is assumed that from that same date set by Apple, all applications that reach the Mac App Store and all new versions that are released of existing applications, must be 64 bits.

In this way, Apple's path is defined a little more in this regard, despite offering a reasonable amount of time for all application creators to update. In this way, Apple announces, as it did with the launch of the iOS 10.3 version, that these types of applications will be left out of its online store. So if you are a developer of applications for Mac, the best thing is that you get started with 64-bit soon since in 2018 all these 32-bit applications will not be supported as it is now with the current beta of iOS 11.
