Many Apple fans were looking forward to it. Jony Ive has been responsible for multiple Apple designs until he was replaced two years ago. But a few hours ago we have known directly from the Apple page, that Dye and Howarth they are not listed as directors of the company. According Bloomberg that position is reserved for his previous manager, Jonathan Ive. The Apple executive has signed the design of numerous Macs, iPads and even the Apple Watch. But talking about design at Apple does not mean exclusively dedicating yourself to building objects. He also led the most important advancements in iOS and macOS.

In Bloomberg's words:

Also noteworthy is that Apple's senior leadership website no longer lists Alan Dye, VP of User Interface Design, while VP of Industrial Design Richard Howarth is no longer listed. We assume there has been no role change here as Apple hasn't announced anything, but we've reached out to the company for clarity and will update it when we hear from it.

Opinions on the networks regarding the ad are diverse. Some assumed that Ive would be leaving the company shortly, while for others it was only a hiatus in product development, once Apple completed the development of Apple Park and the design idea for the new Apple stores.

At these hours, Amy bessette, Apple spokesperson has confirmed Ive's new role at the forefront of product development:

With the completion of Apple Park, Apple's design leaders and teams will once again report directly to Jony Ive, who remains exclusively focused on design.

Perhaps the conference held weeks ago in which Ive previewed the future of equipment and systems design was the starting point of a new era at the helm of Apple's design team.
