Leech, the best direct download manager for Mac

Unfortunately, the ideal download manager for Mac OS X does not exist. But if there is an application that comes close to it, it is Leech, from the guys at Many Tricks.

Simplicity and efficiency

If there is something that I usually ask of Mac apps, it is that they consume little memory, that they start quickly and that the interface borders on extreme simplicity. Leech meets everything And it does it with elegance, since the app icon itself is the indicator of where the downloads go, while in the window we have very little information, just what we want.

On the other hand, we must highlight the very low memory consumption of the app, so do not be afraid to leave it running, it is very efficient without a doubt.

Not perfect

It's a great app, but it's not perfect. What's more, it does not work for me for two clear reasons: it does not have integration and possibly it will not have it due to the limitations of Google's APIs, which is not very interesting for those of us who use the Google browser.

The other disadvantage is that it does not work with download sites such as Megaupload or Fileserve, so to download en masse it is necessary to continue using jDownloader and its brutal consumption of RAM -it is made in Java-.

In short, it is a great app with two details against it, but depending on the case, those two details can make the purchase not logical.
