Lock the use of files and folders with F-Lock

If we have a child, or young people usually visit us periodically, it is more than likely that on some occasion we have left the Mac for them to watch videos on YouTube so they can play a bit and thus leave us a few moments of relaxation . In these cases we run the risk that it enters our documents and begins to edit or delete them without knowing what it is doing. If the desktop of our Mac has become our folder to store documents, it is more than likely that one of these files will end up deleted, edited or in the worst case completely disappeared. Time Machine is an ideal solution but it is not the only one.

Thanks to the F-Lock application we can protect access and editing of all files or folders that we do not want them to be deleted or edited under any circumstances. Surely it is not the first time that you delete a document because you thought you had excess and when you realized the mistake you made it was too late, especially if you do not use Time Machine.

f lock, it is not an application to add password to files and folders, but it is in charge of blocking all the files that are in a folder or files individually. Once we have it activated, a padlock will be shown next to the files and we will not be able to move them from the folders, when trying to do so, a copy will be created in the place where we wanted to move it.

If we want to delete it, the system will ask us for the administrator password to proceed with it, so that if it is not known, the file cannot be deleted. F-Lock has a regular price in the Mac App Store of 1,09 euros, but for a limited time it can be downloaded for free through the following link.
