If we talk about Mac sales, according to the guys at IDC, the share of Apple's IT equipment went from 5,8% in the first quarter of 2020 to 7.7% in the last quarter of last year. However, macOS had nothing to do with the Chromebooks whose share has gone from 5,3% to 14,4% at the end of last year.
This increase is motivated by the demand for affordable devices oriented to study from home, a demand that increased by 400%, taking twice the market share and relegating macOS to the third position of desktop operating systems.
