MacBook and Apple Watch will now be made in Vietnam

It won't be soon, but it won't take long to see how some MacBooks and Apple Watch will no longer carry the typical legend of designed in California made in Taiwan. Now we will have to change the place of manufacture and it will say Vietnam. It was something that had to happen sooner or later. We have been reporting for some time about Apple's negotiations with that Asian country to be able to start the manufacture of some devices in it, in order to diversify production in a attempt to overcome the stumbling blocks that are emerging.

It is not something new. Apple has been manufacturing certain devices in Vietnam for some time and some problems have arisen in that country as a result of the pandemic, for example. But it is true that Apple's idea was to continue increasing production in that country. No number of devices that are already being produced if not, adding some more. That is why, according to the new information available, the next MacBook and Apple Watch will be made in Vietnam.

Taking into account the crisis that the market is suffering in terms of raw materials and the collapse of some suppliers due to China's restrictions due to COVID, it is more than logical and a clear move for production to diversify. It's like they say, don't put all your eggs in one basket. The report launched by Nikkei Asia says Apple supplier Luxshare has started trial production of Apple Watch and MacBook models in Vietnam. As we said, the country is already home to the production of several Apple products, including certain models of iPad and AirPods.

It seems that they will not be the only ones to move to that country. It is said, but without confirmation yet, that it is more than likely that they will be joined later by the HomePod.
