MacBook Pro Retina repair program is extended

Devices made by Apple stand out mainly for the quality of the materials, although sometimes we can find some other problem, due to a quality control that has failed or due to a problem in the manufacturing materials used. The guys from Cupertino usually take care of the problems that their devices offer, although sometimes it is very difficult for them to recognize it (as if they were not human) something that usually annoys their loyal users quite a bit. One of the problems that has generated the most headaches for Tim Cook have been the MacBook Pro with a retina screen, a screen that was carried by spots in the anti-reflective and that was baptized as the #staingate.

In fact, so great was the problem that many users joined a Facebook page to share their experiences until finally Apple launched a replacement program to change the panel without having to go through the box. The problem it showed can be seen in the image at the top of this article, showing some spots especially on the edges, although they could also be observed anywhere on the screen.

The guys from Cupertino have decided to extend this free replacement program for a few more months, a program that will be available to all affected users until next October 16 of this year. All those users who are affected must contact AppleCare, request an appointment directly at any Apple Store or contact through the website to request the change of the affected MacBook Pro panel. If the user has grown tired of waiting for an official solution, the Cupertino-based company claims that it will refund the money they would have paid at the time.

    Good afternoon:

I spoke to AppleCare a few days ago and they told me that there is no official problem or program to replace retina screens. I have a Macbook Pro 2015 and they tell me there is nothing official.

What should be done in this case ???

I have called, they have opened a case number, now I have to go to the nearest store (360 km). It is not known for sure if it falls under the warranty or not.

Of course the 'staingate' not to mention, there is no official replacement program.

If someone has contracted official information and even if it is a valid link, we would be quite interested.

If I decide to create a collaborative website in Spain for this problem, I will make it known from portals like this one.
