Comparison of MacBook Pro Retina batteries vs Windows laptops

Mac users who need battery power and longevity can rest easy knowing that Latest MacBook Pro with Retina display lasts longer than Windows 8 laptops and at least one model of the new Chromebook in battery tests performed.

Consumers of these laptops in the United Kingdom, make a comparison of the battery life on the English website Which, these tests report the battery life of 18 computers Windows 8 laptops against Apple's latest 13-inch MacBook Pro Retina and one of the new Chromebook laptops.

The tests were carried out through the video playback from laptop hard drives and while surfing the net. The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display is the winner of this comparison, it seems that they last about 30 minutes longer than the closest laptop, the Acer Aspire with Windows 8 and only in basic web browsing.

The MacBook Pro Retina, lasted 6 hours in total, while the Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M5-581T lasted 5,5 hours.

The Acer used in testing has a screen about 2 inches larger than the MacBook Pro, but the screens are not comparable as one screen is Retina type and the other is not. When testing the videos, the results on the two MacBook Pro Retina laptops, the battery lasted an hour longer than in the case of the Acer.

The Samsung Series 3 Chromebook, came in a distant third place, the maximum duration in this test is 3 hours and 44 minutess in total for this notebook model used in the comparison.
