A recent Consumer Reports survey (a very prestigious website in terms of tests and results of different types of consumer goods), affirms that Apple MacBooks continue to be leaders in terms of reliability and customer satisfaction.

This survey was based on the opinion of 58.000 subscribers to this website who bought a laptop between 2010 and 2015. In the end, the survey data showed that almost 20% of these subscribers suffered some kind of mishap on their laptops within the first three years purchase, with the MacBook being the notebook with a noticeably lower failure rate compared to Windows-based ones with brands like Acer, Lenovo, Samsung and other manufacturers.

For example, the MacBook Air had only a 7% failure rate, while the MacBook Pro was slightly higher with 9%, being in both cases less than 10%. Windows laptop users claimed to use their equipment an average of 20 hours a week, while Apple computer users did it an average of 23 hours a week, 15% more but with fewer failures.
