Although the MacBook Pro is a computer that offers connections of all kinds, we may end up falling a little short for depending on what tasks. Mac Dock Pro is an accessory that aims to put an end to this problem, using the Mini Display Port connection and a USB port to give life to a dock with connections of all kinds.
With a design reminiscent of the lines used by Apple in the Apple TV, the MacDock Pro is made of aluminum It can be purchased in its original shade or with a black anodized finish.
Once we have connected the MacDock Pro to the side of our MacBook Pro, the accessory will provide us with the following outputs:
- One Mini DisplayPort output for connecting an external monitor
- One 3,5mm audio jack-based audio output
- Three USB 3.0 ports
- A 10W USB port to recharge the iPad at a much higher speed
It's a shame that the MacDock Pro does not support the technology provided by the Thunderbolt interface but the user license is too expensive and USB 3.0 begins to have much more presence in the market.
El MacDock Pro price is about 79 euros to which we must add another 17 euros in terms of shipping. The product is compatible with all 13-inch, 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pros (including the MacBook Pro with Retina Display) that have been released since Summer 2009.
