Little by little we are getting to know details of the next version of macOS, which we will see from September. One of these novelties, not confirmed by Apple, is the one provided by the writer Guilherme Rambo by 9to5Mac. Apparently the final version of macOS 10.15 will have something like the function "MoonDisplay" That will allow us send any application to an external monitor or even use an iPad as a secondary monitor.
Although we will see the final version of macOS 10.15 in September, there is little more than a month left for the developers conference, where Apple shows all the news of its operating systems.
We do not know all the features, but from the directions of the 9To5 Mac writer, we know that it will be accessed through a new menu that will be displayed when we stand on top of the green button "maximize" in the upper left of macOS applications. This new menu will appear for a few fractions of a second, long enough to tell macOS that we want to launch this window to an external monitor or an iPad. After selecting this function, it is expected that we will have options such as: launch full screen, several windows in the form of a mosaic or move the entire desktop.
So far macOS allows you to easily send an application to a monitor by dragging the application to the desktop assigned to that monitor. Actually the option "Luna Display" is a solution that exists in the present to turn an iPad into a second monitor. The name assigned by Apple for this function would be "Sidecar".
