macOS 13.1 available to all users

macOS 13.1

As we were already advancing last week to see macOS 13.1 RC released, there has been no setback in this regard and Apple just released a while ago macOS 13.1 for all users who own a Mac compatible with macOS 13.

The first major update of macOS 13 that brings us the new application Freeform and end-to-end encryption for several iCloud applications as main novelties. So don't take too long to update your Mac.

Afternoon updates in Cupertino. Released a couple of hours ago iOS 16.2, iPad 16.2, tvOS 16.2, watchOS 9.2 and macOS 13.1. And for slightly older devices, it has also released iOS 15.7.2, iPadOS 15.7.2, macOS Monterey 12.6.2, and macOS Big Sur 11.7.2.

But if we focus on macOS Venture 13.1, we can find two very important news that directly affects users with Macs compatible with macOS Ventura.

The first one is the new application Freeform. Freeform is an app to work creatively with your friends or colleagues or studies on Mac, iPad and iPhone. It is a kind of flexible whiteboard that allows you to add files, images, stickers, etc. and interact online with other users who have permission to do so.

And the second is the new advanced data protection for iCloud. This new protection expands the total number of categories of iCloud data protected by end-to-end encryption to 23, including Backup, notes y photos of iCloud, protecting your information even in the event of a data breach in the Apple cloud.

But that is not here. There are other not so striking new features, such as the improved search for Messages, play a sound on your AirTags from your Mac, and other issues fixed.

So don't hesitate, and as soon as you have a little while, update your Mac or let it do it automatically tonight.
