A couple of days ago, Apple released the first big update to macOS Big Sur 11, an update that includes support for the new AirPods Max, new privacy functions within the Mac App Store and a very interesting function that surely many users they will appreciate.
In the details of the macOS Big Sur 11.1 update, Apple mentions that applications for iPhone and iPad that are not compatible with resized screens will begin to be displayed in full screen, that is, only on Mac computers with Apple's new M1 processors and Big Sur 11.1, as we can read in The8-Bit.
Until now, it was already possible to run iPhone and iPad applications on the Mac, however, it was associated with using the application in a window, a problem (from the first world) that Apple has ended with this update since the applications conform to the edges of the screen.
Running iPhone and iPad applications on the Mac is made possible by the fact that the new range of M1 processors share the same architecture, ARM. In the Mac App Store, supported applications are labeled "Designed for iPhone" and "Designed for iPad." These applications can be run without any problem on the Apple M1s and also adjust to this new full-screen mode.
This new functionality will allow many games available on iOS to reach macOS. Some of the games you've already purchased on Reddit that support this mode are Tropico, XCOM, Shadow Legends, Rumble Arena, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. However, it is likely that until a few months have passed, many of the applications and games currently available are not a perfect fit or this is poor.
