MacOS Catalina would include versions adapted to Project Catalyst of iMessage and Shortcuts

In the last WWDC 2019, from Apple they introduced us to macOS Catalina, the new version of the Mac operating system that will arrive this year. It brings with it a multitude of interesting news, and among them is Project Catalyst, a new idea that we have already told you aboutand that is intended to allow the use of iPad applications on the Mac.

However, the truth is that although we knew that it would be open to developers, We did not know that macOS 'own applications were also going to be adapted to Project Catalyst, but after reviewing the beta applications, some developers have appreciated that we may see adaptations of at least the message and shortcut application.

Messages and Shortcuts would be adapted to Project Catalyst

As we have learned, apparently some developers like Steve Troughton-Smith have been able to see how from Apple with the new messages application present in macOS Catalina they would be trying to adapt the UIKit, which would basically mean that it would be very similar to what is present in iPadOS in terms of development, although it is true that it will not be so similar in terms of design.

Now, what we do have to take into account is that the application as such will be similar to the one we currently have in macOS Mojave, although it is true that should incorporate some details already present in the other operating systems such as the effects, present for quite some time in iOS.

Moreover, on your blog, we can also appreciate how has managed to adapt the application of Shortcuts or shortcuts from iOS to macOS, something that would undoubtedly be a great advantage if the shortcuts already created in other systems worked with the Mac, and that would allow to perform tasks much more powerful and useful than the current ones. Although in the same way, we must also take into account that at the moment all this is only rumors, so there would still be enough to test and confirm for this to become the case with macOS Catalina.
