MacOS High Sierra public beta is now available

The release of all public beta versions is confirmed with the launch of this beta version of macOS High Sierra. We have had beta versions of iOS, watchOS and tvOS available for a few hours, so the only one missing was macOS High Sierra and it is now available.

Some media have rushed by announcing that the public beta version was already available at the same time as iOS 11, but it was not until now that the version for Mac users has been released. Now you can download this first public beta version and install it on the Mac.

The improvements that this adds new version macOS High Sierra We have already mentioned them previously, but to summarize a bit we will mention that the way of storing files and displaying videos has been improved, it adds the new industry standard: HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding, also called H.265) technology that it compresses video up to 40% more than the current H.264 without sacrificing quality, adds the new APFS file system and improves some options of Photos, Safari, Spotlight, etc.

The improvements exist but they are not very visual and Apple has focused much more on improving the current operating system to make it more efficient and has left aside the more visual novelties or extra functionality. In any case, the step is forward and will serve to have a good base for the next version of our operating system. Logically, if new functions had been added, we would be the same or more happy but what matters here is that they do not stop updating the system and add improvements.
