macOS Mojave public beta 1

There are several new features and as always we advise you to install this beta version on a partition or on an external disk to avoid possible incompatibility problems with applications or tools that we use daily. Some of the most notable improvements in this version are:

  • Dark mode: this version adds the well-known dark mode beyond the dock bar and the upper application bar, it is the full dark mode
  • Dynamic desktop- Your desktop changes dynamically throughout the day, starting in the morning and ending in the afternoon with a dramatic background of the Mojave Desert
  • Stacks of files on desktop: this helps with the organization and classification of the files we have on the desktop. It is done automatically and we can activate or deactivate it
  • Updated and improved search engine: the improvements in the search engine are highlighted and now it is possible to see the EXIF data and other news in the search
  • Updated Quick Look: Quick Look feature is getting a new marking tool, which should allow for easy and accessible alterations when needed.
  • Continuity chamber : Apple is improving continuity in macOS Mojave
  • News, actions, and more- The arrival of the bag apps, Voice Memos is now available in macOS Mojave.
  • Security enhancements : Apple is putting a greater emphasis on user data and system privacy. Now, any app will have to explicitly request permission to get our location, microphone, message history, iTunes device backups, cookies, and more.

If you are one of the users who wants to participate in the macOS Mojave public betas, we recommend using a partition outside of your operating system despite the fact that everything works really well from the beginning. Do not forget that some applications, tools or functions may not be compatible with beta. In any case, the link to register and receive these versions before the bulk of users we leave here.
