macOS Monterey will arrive without the Universal Control feature

macOS Monterey

Apple presented during WWDC some of the new functions that will come from the hand of the next version of macOS christened Monterey. However, as the months have passed, some of these functions have fallen, the function being SharePlay the first.

To this function, we have to add Universal Control, another of the star features that Apple presented at WWDC 2021 that has never reached any of the betas that Apple has released so far for macOS Monterey, including the last one that was launched a couple of days ago.

Apple has not confirmed as if it did with the SharePlay function, so it is possible that it will be included, but unlikely without having gone through the betas before for users to test it and report bugs.

The Universal Control function allows one keyboard to control both a Mac and an iPad, easily jumping between them, a feature that users who regularly use both devices for work will undoubtedly appreciate. In addition, it allows you to drag files from one device to another, taking it to the edge of the screen.

The developer Marius Fanu, states through his Twitter account, that some of the Universal Control settings are included in the code but are hidden, so they cannot be accessed to activate and test their operation.

Release of the final version of macOS Monterey

Last Wednesday, Apple released the tenth beta of macOS Monterey, which will probably be the last before the release of the final version, launch that will probably occur at the end of the keynote that apple announced for next Monday, October 18.
