MacOS Sierra gives suggestions for managing storage

macOS Sierra with Siri is here, and these are all its news

One of the novelties that has helped me for something and has been curious is the new storage management on the Mac. With MacOS Sierra we have seen the arrival of Siri to the desktop operating system. It will also allow us to synchronize said desktop and all the files on it with our iCloud account, although I do not recommend the latter as openly as paying more attention to the function that I will talk about next: Storage management.

MacOS helps you keep your computer clean

Let's see how we can access this section to check and take measures in the management of free and occupied space. From the settings or by clicking on the menu block and entering About this Mac. Once there you can go to Storage, where you will see the bar with the space in use and the one that is free. If you click on "manage" a window will open that will give you several options and in it one aspect that I love (and in which I focus for this post) is the suggestions. It gives you suggestions so that your equipment is always clean.

Suggestions can be, among others, to optimize your iTunes library. Not only does it give you the information, but they include a button or method so that with just one click you can start cleaning and managing storage. Old files that you do not use and surplus. Upload files to iCloud so that they take place in the cloud and not on your hard drive. This would be a good idea if it weren't for the fact that on Macs you have at least 128Gb and on iCloud with the minimum plan of € 0,99 only 50Gb. I prefer to fill the iMac and not the cloud, but in some cases it can be useful.

You will find other tips and many more ways to save or manage space. Try the suggestions and discover their benefits.
