To expand the memory of our MacBook we can always use an external hard drive and take it with us everywhere or use the storage available in the cloud, among other options. Some of these options come in the form of card similar to the SD of a lifetime and they fit perfectly in our MacBook offering an extra space to store backup copies or documents. At present we already have some models of these SD extra storage available for our machines, the Jet Drive Lite or the Nifty MiniDrive are a couple of examples and now there is another interesting project on Kickstarter that, although it fulfills the same functions as those mentioned above, in this case it offers us the possibility of using a microSD card that we already have at home.
This new Magny Drive that we can find on Kickstarter has the outer part in metal and allows remove it easily (thanks to its built-in magnet) from our Mac using the MagSafe power cable itself and not having to use a paper clip or wire for it. It is fully integrated into the Mac as you can see in the presentation video that we leave below.
Furthermore, this is a project that has several options for the 'backer' since it offers the option of participating in a model called MagnyPro, which offers us the possibility of taking 128 GB of flash memory integrated into the SD and they also have a limited edition Gold option. We can access the Magny from $ 35 plus shipping costs if we are outside the United States.
This is a new project that has just been born, it has about 25 days left to reach its end and expect to reach $ 12.000 to start with mass production. We leave the link in case you want to participate in the project of this Magny Drive or you just want to browse a little more about the project.
