Mail, a vote of confidence

Now that I have OS X Yosemite installed on my iMac I am using again an application that I had put aside a long time ago, yes, I am talking about the Mail application. This application that when you arrive in the Mac world may seem somewhat complicated or missing details to better manage the mail, goes through various stages in the life of a maquero and at the end many of us end up looking for alternatives, but in the new OS X Yosemite I'm giving it another chance and Mail has improved, maybe for many not enough, but it has improved.

The new Dialing feature that Apple introduced us to sign important emails, forms and PDF files, edit or add a text in an image or simply fill out a document quickly and easily are some of the improvements of this Mail, but there is more. Apple added the ability to send emails with files up to 5 GB As long as you have the Mail Drop option activated in your iCloud account and this for me is great. Here I leave the tutorial made by my colleague Miguel Juncos in which he explains how to add annotations to the email.

Adding shapes, text or labels to the images we send and receive is another improvement that comes in handy for some everyday tasks, but not everything seems to be so pretty in some cases and there are also problems reported by some users. One of these problems is the one that looks like a excessive memory consumption, which undoubtedly impairs the proper functioning of the system. Personally, I do not suffer from this problem at the moment and I am sure that many of those who are using it either.

While it is true that third-party applications such as Airmail o MailBoxAmong others, they compete directly with the native OS X application. I can say that for now the work done by OS X Mail is good and I will continue to use it to manage my accounts for a while. And you, are you using Mail or do you have another manager for your mail?

I have installed YOSEMITE on my Macbook Pro, but in the app store, it appears to me as if I had not downloaded it. can you help me solve this?

Alvaro is normal for that to happen, I installed it directly from the mac app store and it keeps appearing to me that I have not downloaded it because once you install it, the downloaded file is deleted from the hard drive, that is why the store recognizes it as not downloaded .
