Manage parental controls restrictions remotely

Parental-control-remote-0

Parental controls are a exceptional filter that allows you in some way to restrict certain contents that are not appropriate on the Internet so that your children do not access, even certain applications that are not recommended for use by a child, it even keeps access to the Mac blocked depending on the established schedules.

So far everything is normal and there is nothing really remarkable if it were not because we can also adjust these filters by adding more or eliminating them in real time through the network. With this we can modify these restrictions to our liking without "Invade" the privacy of your children in their rooms (assuming they have the equipment there) at any time.

In order to achieve all this we will have to create an account as administrator on the Mac in question that we want to take control of later, being also possible add the same account administrator that we have on our Mac to make it easier for us to remember username / password

Once this is done, we will have to physically go to the remote Mac and click on System Preferences, then on the Parental Control icon and finally on the padlock that appears at the bottom left to be able to modify the restrictions.

Finally, we will click on the gear also located in the lower left part to start adding those filters that we consider appropriate for when we have finished, click on the padlock again to fix it and make sure they can't change it.

Right at that moment when you start your Mac and access parental controls, you will be able to see your child's Mac so you can 'Manage' it remotely.
