Password managers are increasingly recommended, to have all our passwords within a single application. In the market there are different options, almost all are paid or establish a subscription model.
A free option, although for the moment for a limited period is PasswordFactory. This password manager allows us to generate passwords of many types and allows us to store these passwords. We can choose what type of passwords we want to generate. For example, it can be composed of characters, symbols and numbers in a totally random way, until the formation of passwords through patterns.
Password Factory was recently updated to version 3.1. Now the generation of passwords can be randomly or through random words selected from a phrase. But this app from the developer Christian Yambo, has more services. On the one hand, the application is installed on the menu bar or notification center. Thus in this way access to it is done quickly and easily. On the other hand, we can use the shortcuts both to generate passwords and to access a specific password.
The downside is the interface, which is too plain and simple, as well as the language. At the moment it is only in English. On the other hand, more and more services ask for a double verification by sending an SMS to the mobile or the use of Google Authenticator, therefore, the security in the conservation of passwords is taking a back seat and the correct management of passwords.
