Today we bring you a small application that you will undoubtedly like. If you are one of those who would add more options to the OSX preferences, this is the application you were looking for. MacUtil is a tool that will allow us to customize our Mac's dock as we wish, as well as other options. The application is divided into 4 sections that customize those aspects of OSX.
It is a free application that can be downloaded from its developer's page. Once the application is downloaded, we move it to the applications folder since it is a self-installed folder since, as we have commented in previous post, this is one of the ways in which the applications that we install in are prepared. our Mac.
When we execute it, a window will appear with four possible tabs: Dock, Finder, User Interface and Miscellaneous. Each of these tabs is full of options that we can configure with our tastes or whatever we need. We can see options of all kinds.
La first tab is dedicated to the dock, and there are a few options such as operating the dock in 2D or 3D, adding a stack with recently used apps, adding separators to organize the dock, resizing, etc.
La second tab It is intended for the Finder, and some of the options we have available are: Make the Finder can be closed like other traditional apps, stop the alerts when we change the extension of a file, display the full path in the windows, stop the confirmation when opening applications among others.
In the case of the third tab, it focuses on the user interface, where there are options such as setting the saving of files to disk by default instead of iCloud, customizing the animation speed of Mission Control, configuring the save dialog by default so that it is expanded, etc. .
And finally the miscellaneous tab, we will find several options, among which we can comment on stopping the dashboard, changing the format of the screenshots, stopping pressing and holding keys to display other characters, configure keyboard repetition, etc.
As you can see, it is an application that is completely free and allows us to configure a large number of system options, so it becomes a fundamental installation in our system. So get a little strength and leave the application installed. You will not regret it.
