Microsoft Edge, Microsoft's web browser, is also officially coming to macOS

Microsoft Edge

With the arrival of Windows 10, the Microsoft team announced the arrival of Microsoft Edge, a much faster web browser that, initially, came to replace the classic Internet Explorer, but that little by little it has been reaching more and more platforms with a multitude of news, although it seemed that macOS was staying a bit distant in this aspect.

However, apparently they have recently decided to make a number of changes to the structure, basing the browser on Chromium (Yes, it is where Google Chrome comes from), and with this it seems that Microsoft has planned to take its browser to more operating systems.

In the first place, they have started taking it to their own operating systems, and it is that apparently, after the arrival of this new development technology to Edge, they have also decided to incorporate it into their older versions of the operating system, that is, for those users who still have Windows 8 or Windows 7 installed, in order to offer greater security, as well as an improvement in the user experience due to its better functions and speed.

However, the most interesting thing comes from the hand of TechCrunch, who have officially confirmed that the Microsoft Edge browser is officially going to arrive on Macs, although at the moment many interesting facts about this possible arrival are unknown.

First, the date in question is unknown, since Microsoft has not even announced a beta program, so it seems that it would go a long way and that until next 2019 we would not see anything. And, on the other hand, we do not know the functions or the design that this browser will incorporate for macOS, although we are expected to see something similar to what is currently available in Windows, only with small changes to be able to adapt it to the Apple ecosystem correctly.

Be that as it may, although as we said there are still no dates and there is no official confirmation from the firm, it would be quite logical for us to see this integration on their partWell, after all, there are many people who use other Microsoft applications on their Macs every day, so this would be in a way also an advance in this regard.
