And it is that, apparently, as reported by the media Windows Latest, at the time the Windows 10 October Update is installed, it seems that iCloud apps, at least in the latest version, start to crash, to the point that some of them disappear or the wizard asks you to reinstall the complete pack.
Be that as it may, the fact is that when trying to install iCloud, a window appeared to many users informing that it is necessary to have Windows 7 or higher to be able to perform the installation, despite having the latest version of the operating system already installed.
That is why, in order to avoid problems, Microsoft has blocked this new update for users who have iCloud installed for Windows, since they want to avoid problems and please everyone, or at least this is how they have publicly announced it:
Apple has identified an incompatibility with iCloud for Windows (version 7.7.0.27) in which users may have problems updating or syncing Shared Albums after upgrading to Windows 10, version 1809.
Users trying to install the application (version 7.7.0.27) on Windows 10, version 1809 will see a message stating that this version of iCloud for Windows is not supported, and the installation will fail.
To ensure a smooth experience, Microsoft is locking devices with iCloud for Windows software (version 7.7.0.27) installed from offering Windows 10, version 1809 until this issue is resolved.
