Netflix lets you adjust video quality and control data on iPhone

The application of Netflix For iPhone and iPad it received an interesting update yesterday that allows adjusting the quality of content playback in order to control the consumption of mobile data, if we use them, as well as quick access functions for 3D Touch in the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

It was in early March when Netflix announced that in the month of May it would incorporate a new function that would allow the saving of mobile data. And so it has been.

Yesterday afternoon the app Netflix for iOS it reached its version 8.4.0 incorporating in its menu the option «Application settings» from which we can adjust the quality of the video and thus control data consumption in order to avoid charges if we have a «not limited» rate . All this as long as we have allowed the reproduction of videos of Netflix from the Settings / Configuration → Netflix app.

In the new section "Application Settings", the control setting that is activated by default will allow users to play approximately 3 hours of content per gigabyte of data, but we can modify the video quality to "Low" (4 hours for each GB), "Medium" (2 hours for each GB), "High" (1 hour for each GB) or "Unlimited" only recommended for unlimited data plans, does that exist in Spain? 😅

In addition to mobile data control, update 8.4.0 of Netflix in the App Store also incorporates support for Touch 3D and quick actions directly from the home screen icon, VoiceOver navigation improvements, and various bug fixes.
