If you want to read the entire report with the different changes you can find it right here. We leave a small summary with the highlight of it:

  • More audits in third-party companies reaching up to 640
  • 140 of these 64 audits have been carried out on new assembly lines
  • The 60-hour work week is confirmed in almost 100% of the cases, specifically 97%
  • Pollution has been reduced thanks to the energy efficiency of companies that manufacture for Apple
  • The water used in manufacturing processes has been reduced, saving almost 15.000 million liters

And other data that we find in the report published by the Cupertino guys. In short, it is about taking more care of the employees of those companies that work in the assembly lines of products for Apple, in addition to improving energy efficiency in manufacturing and polluting much less. Apple has been quite aware of these issues that directly concern its image, if we look back in time, we find different complaints and reports on pollution, labor exploitation and other issues that affect the company, little by little these data are improving and we hope they will continue to do so.
