Apple Maps

Apple announced a few hours ago the radical change of its Apple Maps application for users in the United States first and that will soon be available to users in Europe. This redesign in Apple Maps affects all devices and of course Mac, watchOS and CarPlay also receive this new version, although Apple's focus is oriented towards iOS products. So we have to make it clear that these new Apple maps are already available for use in all its OS versions.

If you are an iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch user and You live in the United States you can now enjoy the changes implemented by the Cupertino company. Also if you have a car that supports CarPlay you can also enjoy the news.

Eddy Cue, Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services at Apple explained to the media:

We set out to create the most private and highest quality mapping app on the planet, an app that reflects how we explore the world today. It is something that we put a lot of effort into and that has required us to rebuild the map from scratch to re-imagine how Maps can improve people's lives, from commuting to work or school to planning an important vacation, all without give up privacy. The completion of the new map of the United States and the addition of new features like Panoramic View and Collections are important steps in making that vision a reality. We hope to bring this new map to Europe and the rest of the world later this year.

Thus, with this new version, users can now begin to enjoy interactive images at street level with high resolution, 3D photography and smooth transitions of the main cities with Panoramic View, among other novelties. At the moment there are included the cities of New York, San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Houston, and Oahu to view in 3D from anywhere. Maps is now more integrated with third-party services such as Instagram, Bank of America or the Nike Run Club running app.

All these changes must also be added the complete views of the roads, parks, buildings, shopping centers, airports and more. Apple assured that it would add these improvements over the next few months in EuropeLet's hope they don't take too long.
