New rumors with the EarPods, will they be Bluethooth?

We return with the rumors about apple headphones, as a result of the leaks that have taken place during these past weeks about the future iPhone 7 appearing as the first smartphone without a headphone jack. There is talk that it could reach the market next September or even in October, the usual launch date for iPhones year after year.

This time, according to reports, a possible low-power Bluetooth chip commissioned by the company specifically for wireless headphones, comes to the fore. Apparently this chip would offer great performance and durability unmatched by its main competitors.

Said chip has been designed with energy efficiency in mind and they would solve the main problem of any common bluetooth device: the limited life of its battery. Originally, this technology was developed by Passive Semiconductor, company acquired by Apple in 2013.

Since then, Apple has been developing this project, and after hard work, it seems that now is when it will come to light along with the brand's new phone. It seems that an attempt was made to present and market last summer, but development problems and performance drawbacks stopped their early birth. According to the source itself:

“Apple works like this. If it doesn't work 100%, the process stops »

It is understood that the chip has been refined and is ready to debut on the market. Of course, there is still nothing certain that it comes standard with the iPhone 7 or is an accessory that can be purchased separately.

If these rumors are true, they increase the chances that the iPhone 7 are thinner than ever and do not come by default with the "minijack connector" that so far have all Apple smartphones. And of course, This theory does not rule out the inclusion that these headphones can be connected via the already standardized Lightning connector on these devices.
