Going back in time, Steve Jobs officially returned to Apple in late 1996, when the company acquired NeXT and reappointed Jobs as CEO of the same. Later, in 1998, he oversaw the unveiling of the original iMac and took a U-turn at Apple leading the company in the right direction that would ultimately lead to a rise from the ashes, reaping great success from that moment on. Hence, this event is considered a full stop in Apple's history.

This presentation held on May 6, 1998 was called "Back on Track" (Back to the track) and presented a Mac totally different in design to any Apple product and that was created by Jony Ive, a team that raised quite a lot of controversy among Apple fans but that ended up succeeding in what was a sales success.

This past weekend, that event was recreated in San Francisco as part of a scene that will take place in the next Steve Jobs biopic starring Michael Fassbender. In the filmed scenes, a crowd of people can be seen inside the building where the keynote took place with posters displaying the now iconic Apple phrase "Think Different", along with other advertisements showing the name and name. Apple logo along with the word iMac.

In another scene filmed abroad, the extras behave like Apple fans excited about Jobs' return to the company, with banners welcoming you back comparing the event of the first Macintosh launch to the great inventions of human history.
The script of the film is in charge of Aaron Sorkin, Academy Award for screenwriter and who has revealed that this film will rotate around three flagship product launches in Apple history where it will apparently conclude with the debut of the iMac in 1998. As I mentioned above, will star Fassbender Like Jobs and directed by Oscar winner Danny Boyle, the film is set to hit theaters on October 9 in the US.
