The next Magic Keyboard could bring the drawing of the keys with electronic ink

Apple prepares new Magic Trackpad, Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard

The renewal cycle for Apple accessories is usually quite long. Just over a year ago, the guys from Cupertino launched the second generation of the Magic Keyboard, the Magic Mouse and the Touch Pad, a new generation that really brought very little news, except for the Touch Pad. Having Apple take it very calmly it's strange to start hearing rumors about the next generation of these types of accessories, but they have already started to circulate. According to a Reddit user, who goes by the nickname Foxconninsider, Apple is working on a new keyboard, a new keyboard that would completely change the production of this serial device since it could be configured independently for each country, without having to make different versions.

This keyboard would offer us an electronic ink screen on the keys of the letters, numbers and functions of the keyboard, buttons that could be configured according to the country where they were sold. Apple wouldn't be the first company to launch a keyboard of this typeInstead, it would be negotiated with the company Sonder, specialized in this type of keyboard, which will allow the launch of a new configurable keyboard. What we do not know is to what extent Apple would allow us to configure some keys to perform certain actions established by the user that would allow us to open applications directly.

According to this Reddit user, the keyboard could reach the market in 2018, a very close date taking into account the renewal time of this type of device. But it would also still not allow to offer lighting on the keys, a function highly demanded by users. The second generation of the Apple Keyboard is available in the App Store for 119 euros being practically the same keyboard as the previous one. If Apple releases a keyboard with e-ink displays on each key, I don't even want to think about the price that it can reach.
