Obsolete software returns to the "purchased" tab in the Mac App Store

Update-app store-videos format-2.1.0-0

If first thing in the morning we noticed how Apple had removed the obsolete software from the "purchased" tab in the Mac App Store, that is, software without official support from the developer or Apple itself, software such as Aperture, iPhoto, OS X Lion, OS X Mountain Lion and OS X Mavericks among others, however now we see how said software has returned to this tab for download.

At first it was thought that this could be a move by Apple to prevent users from downloading discontinued software that could cause compatibility problems with the new operating systems that are to come, however now everything points to a maintenance of the servers that host this type of applications that caused them to temporarily disappear in certain accounts, although it must be made clear that this is a personal conjecture and not officially confirmed.

App Store-obsolete software-0

This software has not been available for download for quite a few days and many they already claimed that it could be a bug when preparing the App Store for the massive download that will take place on September 30 on the occasion of the launch of OS X El Capitan.

Whatever the reason, it does not seem wrong to me to remove this type of software if it is detected that the operating system running underneath it is an updated version in which said software would not work properly, but keeping it for previous versions or old systems that cannot be updated for hardware reasons to newer versions and have to settle for obsolete software.

We'll see if in the end all this has been a test and Apple decides permanently remove the software later.
