Parallels is the company behind the best software implemented in OS X to run virtual machines running Windows, having said this, the news is that it has released the latest version of its popular Mac application today for this type of task. Parallels 11 (that's the name of the app) will be priced at 79,99 Euros and 49.99 Euros if you upgrade from a previous version.

As can be read on the official Parallels website, this latest version is up to 50 percent faster than previous versions, including startup as well as stop times and file copy / move operations up to 20 percent faster. It also includes a new travel mode that will also increase battery life by up to 20 percent.
Another of the flagship features of Parallels 11 is the already mentioned support for Microsoft's virtual assistant, Cortana, which we can "Invoke" even from the OS X desktop as long as parallels is running behind. As explained by the company itself, as long as Windows 10 is running in the background, users can always say "Hey Cortana" and receive a response.
Other changes go through improvements in the Windows user experience, a faster way to view notifications Windows on OS X, improved file associations and support for real-time localization in Windows. You can even now take advantage of OS X's Quick Look feature for document and file previews.
Parallels has also introduced a new Pro version of its software aimed at developers that in addition to all the features of the standard version, includes support for tools like Docker, Visual Studio, and Chef.
