PDFZone, the software to extract data from PDF, is updated to version 2.0

MacOS is one of the most productive software on the market, but we are still constantly finding new applications that make us more productive when working with multiple documents.

One such application that does work almost instantly is PDFZone. The software created by iSolid SPRL allows us allows you to extract information from PDF to transfer it to a CSV document and use it for databases, accounting or any other file. PDFZone is not an OCR reader, but we extract the relevant from a PDF as long as we "show" it what information we want to extract with an example.

Working with PDFZone is very easy.

  1. We open the application and quickly let's name a task.
  2. Next we indicate what information we want to extract. For example, if we want to obtain the following details from a set of files: date, invoice number, amount, we will create each of these fields in the sidebar each of these fields.
  3. Then we select a sample invoice. In her We must tell the application where the data we want to obtain and previously selected is locatede (date, invoice number, amount)
  4. Once this is done, the program will know where these parameters are. It will be time to select all the files from where we want to extract the data.
  5. The application has Drag and Drop, therefore, you just have to open Finder, select the files and drag them to the app.
  6. Then We press export and name the output file, which will be in CSV format.

In this version 2.0 we have more news. Now we can change the name of the files based on the information we have extracted.

PDFZone has a reduced version, which limits the work to 5 PDFs at the same time and a limit of two definitions or fields to be extracted. But if you use the application intensively, you have at your disposal the Complete version, without limitation. Its price is somewhat high, at € 28,99, But you can try it for a month for free to see if you will take advantage of it.
