Philips launches its Hue Sync app for macOS

Last January, the Dutch company announced that throughout this year, it would launch an application for macOS (also for Windows) with which we would be able to manage the Philips Hue bulbs that we have installed in our home or workplace. Delivering on its promise, the Philips company makes this application available to us directly from its website.

Thanks to the Philips Hue app, in addition to manage Hue bulbs From our smartphone, regardless of where we are, we will also be able to carry out this work directly from our Mac, completely free of charge. With the launch of this application, if up until now you used third party apps to manage them from your Mac, you will no longer need to continue using them.

Thanks to this application, we will be able to customize the lights in our surroundings to adapt them to the movie we plan to see, to our favorite game or to create a personalized atmosphere or select one of those that are already available.

The operation of the application is very simple, since once we have installed it we just have to click on the button Bridge so that the Mac that connects with the bridge that gives access to all the Hue bulbs that we have installed in our home or workplace.

A few days ago, the company updated the app for iOS, adding a series of new functions in addition to completely renewing the aesthetics of the application, making it more friendly and with an aesthetic very similar to what we can find in the application for both macOS and Windows 10.

Philips was one of the first manufacturers to adopt HomeKit in its smart light bulb system, a system that requires, yes or yes, a bridge to be able to manage them all, something that does not happen with other manufacturers such as Kogeek.
