Pixelmator Pro 2.0.4 improves its ML Super Resolution function

I have always laughed at the typical scene in the cop series where the police magnify a blurred image, and with a "magic" software the image is clarified to see the face of the suspect or the license plate of the baddie's car, until I tried the ML Super Resolution feature of Pixelmator Pro.

It uses an algorithm that interleaves pixels and significantly increases the sharpness of an image. Now a new update has just been released, where this function has been improved. The police and the FBI will be happy.

Pixelmator just announced an update to Pixelmator Pro that brings improvements to its ML Super Resolution algorithm, as well as support for portrait masks in ProRAW photos, Quick Look improvements, and other common minor "bug fixes and improvements".

ML Super Resolution caused a sensation in the photo editing world, bringing to life the concept of "enhancing" a pixelated photo as we see in movies and police series. The latest update allows the function to remove pixelations from compressed WebP files.

This is now the fourth version of ML Super Resolution and brings a very interesting and notable improvement: the elimination of pixelations by WebP compression. Pixelmator Pro already supports the WebP file format and as it gains more users on the web, it is becoming clear that the WebP compression algorithm produces unique compression effects.

Pixelmator Pro 2.0.4 also brings two new plug-ins: A preview plug-in that now creates full-size file previews when previewing files in the Finder, and a thumbnail plug-in that creates thumbnails that can be synced between enabled devices. for iCloud, including those without Pixelmator Pro installed. Pixelmator Pro is available for € 43,99 on the Mac App Store.
