The application has a «complication» specially designed for the Apple Watch that allows us to regulate with a single touch the volume to 25%, 50%, 75% or in silence.
So if you are going to buy AirPods headphones and you have Apple Watch, you can already go looking at the Louder app and thus control them in a simpler way.
I do not know if Siri will finally be the only one that can go from song and volume up and down, but if so, it seems like a big mistake, so big that I had planned to buy them and now I'm considering it. Do you really see yourself «talking to Siri every two by three in the middle of the street?
