The public transport information from Apple Maps, came from the hand of iOS 9. Two years later, the number of cities that offer this service is still very small, not to say practically non-existent in many countries. If we talk about Spanish-speaking cities, we only find Mexico City and Madrid as the only cities with this service.
The possibility of consulting the routes made by public transport, together with the schedules and the coverage of the service, allows that both the inhabitants of the city and the visitors, do not have to depend on the public or private taxi to be able to move around the city, unless the area to be visited is not covered by public transport, which is highly unlikely.
The last three cities in the United States that already offer this type of information are Columbia, Charleston and Greenville all of them located in South Carolina. The information on public transportation in these cities covers both the bus lines and the subway, including the AMTRAK rail line, a route that connects the country and that allows us to travel throughout the United States using only the country's rail service.
The last city to receive this kind of support from Apple Maps was Tucson, Arizona earlier this month. For several months now, the Cupertino boys have not bothered to add new cities outside the American territory, although that does not mean that it has abandoned its expansion plans in this sense, since the same in six months, to put a date, Apple surprises us by adding a large number of cities compatible with this type of information, information that greatly facilitates the traveling through cities using public transport instead of using private vehicles, thus reducing pollution in cities.
