Again comes an update to add compatibility with digital cameras that support the RAW format. This time it's about version 6.18 and adds RAW support for seven digital camera models on OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan.

Apple continues to add new models to the long list that we find on the company's official website. If you want to see if your digital camera has RAW compatibility with this OS X, it is best to visit the wsupport eb from Apple and look for our digital camera model.

For now we leave you the list of new additions to the RAW compatibility in El Capitan, which includes three Canon models, one from Leica, one from Olympus and two from Sony:

  • Canon EOS M10
  • Canon PowerShot G5 X
  • Canon PowerShot G9 X
  • Leyva SL (Type 601)
  • Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II
  • Sony Alpha ILCE-7S II
  • Sony Cybershot DSC-RX1R II

If you have any of these digital camera models and you use the RAW format to take your photos and then edit them on the Mac without losing the quality of the photos, they are now compatible with the latest OS X. Remember that you can access the new version directly from the menu of the  > App store or accessing directly from the application Mac App Store> Updates. Although you are not one of those who use the RAW format for photos or do not have any of these digital cameras, we advise you to install this update released by Apple.
