Bartender 4 for Mac is compatible with macOS Big Sur

The popular tool for rearranging and hiding Mac menu bar items now runs natively on Mac M1 and comes with several new features and basic capabilities. Bartending 4After having been running in its public beta phase and after several adjustments, we can now download the final version compatible with macOS Big Sur and Apple Silicon.

Bartender 4 is one of the most versatile applications that exist to be able to modify the menu bar of our Mac to our liking. Until now it was in a test version, in beta phase, but we can finally download it being fully compatible with Apple Silicon and therefore with the new M1 chip and macOS Big Sur.

In fact with macOS Big Sur, Apple increased the space between menu bar items, reducing the space available for icons. To fix this little backlash, Bartender 4 now allows users to return to the space before Big Sur. It features menu bar separators, which allow users to add spaces between groups of items.

For example, there new triggers to display menu bar items, including image comparisons that show a menu bar item when it matches a particular state, and the ability to use scripts to display items, such as when VPN or AirPods are connected.

Likewise, With the new quick reveal feature, users can now get instant access to hidden menu bar items. Improvements have been made to the search function, which now has an interface similar to Spotlight. We can even assign hotkeys to items on the menu bar to display them.
