The recovery partition is in many cases equal to or more important than other characteristics that we consider fundamental in the system and is that when it starts to fail and the backup copies are not enough, this partition will get us out of trouble on more than one occasion. I say all this because Apple has just released an update for this recovery software on OS X for all those users who are running the beta version of OS X El Capitan.
The update appears to have been released before yesterday afternoon without making too much noise. In the change log, which always seems repetitive, it only stands out that includes software "enhancements" recovery which indicates that it is most likely only a version that corrects small errors.
In any case, the recovery partition although it is important to always keep it updated in relation to the software, there are other system recovery formulas that do not occupy disk space permanently and we can create in a pendrive thanks to applications like Diskmaker X which we have already talked about at length in the next entry and that we always recommend as a backup application.
You have to remember that OS X El Capitan beta 7 was released to developers earlier this week along with a public beta for users enrolled in the OS X beta program. The final operating system will be released later this year, although a date is not yet known. Exact is assumed to be late fall.
