System Preferences Icon

The notifications in the form of a red balloon that we see in the 'anchored' applications of our dock are part of the options offered by most applications for Mac, just as it happens in the iOS operating system and its applications. These warning balloons in apps They can be deactivated and today we will see how to do it in the event that we have too high a quantity of these.

When we have many applications in the dock of our Mac, the chances of accumulating many 'red balloons' increases and for many of us it can be annoying to have so many notification alerts So if we have the option to eliminate them in a simple way, why not do it?

Let's see how to deactivate the warning in the form of a balloon of an application that does not interest us to show them. What we will do is access from the System Preferences icon itself or from the  menu - System Preferences then we have to click on Notifications and we will see all the applications in the left column that use the notification system on our Mac:

We select the application in the column on the left and we just have to uncheck Balloons in icons. Now This application it will no longer show us these balloons in the icons of our dock. In this window we also have the option to change the style of notifications, increase or decrease the number of notifications and we can even eliminate the sound that the notification emits when receiving it.

In the case of not finding the application that shows us the red balloons in the notifications, we will have to access the preferences menu of the application itself and edit it.

This can come in handy for applications that are not really important to us and we do not need to receive their notifications like some games or similar, in the case of Mail, Messages, calendar, etc. I personally have it active but if you want you can also deactivate these balloons.
