Restart the process in charge of the menu bar if you have problems

Not only the dock or a specific program within the system can get "hung" but also the menu bar at the top which hosts all the background programs that load at startup, may also freeze or crash at some point.

This fact is not usually normal but can occur on rare occasions, the system tries to access a resource that is not available, keeping the famous spin of colors spinning non-stop, luckily we have a fairly simple solution to restart the menu bar, as for example we would do it with the finder or any other process that it was not running normally.

In this case the menu bar or more specifically the programs and background processes located on the right side on the screen, they are controlled by the SystemUIServer process in OS X. So once we are done with SystemUIServer this will result in the menu bar restart.

Since there is no way to restart the programs within the interface of the menu bar itself, we can use two different ways to do it. One would be through system activity monitor In the path »Applications / Utilities / Activity Monitor«, then we would move to the memory tab and by clicking on the cross in the upper right corner of the process and Force Quit, we would have completed the restart of the bar.

The other way is through the system terminal in the same utilities folder and executing this command:

type killall -KILL SystemUIServer and press Enter on the keyboard

Although as I say, this symptom is very strange that it occurs with a certain normality although it is not enough to have it at hand in case it ever happens to us.
