Restored "open playlist in new window" function in iTunes 12.6 on macOS

Yesterday we counted the Update of iTunes to version 12.6 with the main novelty of be able to rent movies or buy them from the Apple service and be able to watch them on any device of the company. It is a great success, which will be used by those who regularly travel and want to enjoy their movies on multiple devices. But part of the magic of Apple is surprising us with news that we do not expect. It is true that the novelty that we are going to present you was included in previous versions, but for some reason it was eliminated. Now we have it available again. We are talking about opening a playlist in a separate window.

Apple wants us to use iTunes as the only player and has been making efforts to do so for more than a year. Today's example is proof of this, as well as full integration with Apple Music. The option to open playlist in a separate window will be very well accepted by those semi-professional DJs, as it allows us to open multiple windows of a playlist, and thus have different songs prepared at the time we want, to be played immediately.

Accessing this feature is easy.

  1. We press with the right button about the playlist we want open in new window.
  2. In the context menu, we find the option "Open in new window", by pressing we will see how the playlist opens in a new window and is fully operational.

Users indicate that they have opened up to 10 windows from the same list and their handling is correct, being able to jump from one to another or play music at the same time.

Little by little, iTunes regains the trust of many users who opted for other alternatives. Are you an iTunes user? How do you see it today?
