Review: Magic Charger, the perfect complement to the Magic Mouse

IMG 0977

This is one of the reviews that I most wanted to do due to the fact that we are dealing with one of the most famous Mac accessories, the Magic Charger. Has he deservedly earned it?

Without cables, everything feels better

Let's start at the beginning, which is the most logical thing to do. The Magic Charger is an induction charger for the Magic Mouse, so we can charge the batteries of it by putting it on top of the base and we will never have to change the batteries.

The design of the product itself is great, using the same materials as the Magic Mouse and giving the impression that it had been designed by Apple itself, but also the design of the box and the unboxing are also fantastic and That means that we are facing a good accessory, the kind in which you look at design and functionality, not cost.

In the box comes the charging base, the replacement batteries - closed with two screws that seem easy to remove to change the batteries - and a micro-USB to USB cable to connect the base to electricity. A good choice for the increasingly widespread micro-USB.

It is expensive?

And is that the problem of the Magic Charger for many is its price, that depending on the store and the sales It goes between 40 and 50 euros. It is understood that many think that it is expensive, but this is a fairly rare technology (wireless charging) coupled with an excellent design and a remarkable quality of materials. We are facing a product that is worth that money to spare.

What you have to decide is if you want to pay it or not, because each one puts the limits where they want. I'm in black or white, I mean, or I buy things at DealExtreme and the like saving a lot or I bet on a top quality product, like the Magic Charger. Halftones do not seem like the most appropriate option and the Magic Charger is not.

  • Design quality
  • Goodbye to cables
  • The perfect match for the Magic Mouse

Cons

  • High price

Conclusion and photo gallery

It is a beautiful, surprising, very useful and quality accessory, something that for me far overcomes the price obstacle. If the Magic Mouse is magic in itself with its multi-touch technology, imagine the magic that it unleashes if it is charged wirelessly ...

I have it since last Black Friday, and what I can add to all the benefits described in the article is that the price pays off quickly when you stop using batteries.

With the use that I give the computer, and counting that I bought it for just over 20 euros, I have calculated that I will amortize the charger in about 3 months (4 at most).

Without a doubt, a good investment for those of us who spend our lives in front of the computer.

I'm with Jordix, I also bought it last Black Friday because the truth is that the price was pulling me back a bit, but if I found out I would have bought it much earlier, it is an essential accessory, and you don't worry about The batteries either buy them if they are not rechargeable, or you forget to recharge them, you simply leave it in any way on its platform (which is very elegant and discreet) and the induction does the rest, a highly recommended purchase !! !

This great I have since June, and if it is great, but not everything is perfect, it seems that I do not know if it will be only mine but I do not go in completely and the silver paint has been going with use, since it is plastic and not the material of the mighty mouse, and the battery continually tells me that it is discharged despite not being it and I have had problems that it disconnects spontaneously, it reconnects instantly but annoying, even so it is worth it.

GulyeC about the painting I do not know if it happened to me I have it for less time than you, it did cost me a lot at first but it was a bit of a thing to get the point, what you disconnected happened to me with When I bought the magic mouse before buying, the battery was disconnected only every two by three and the truth is that it was a bit annoying, but I went to the store and they changed my mouse and since then it works well for me either with batteries or with battery.

I have it, and the mouse suffers sporadic disconnections (regardless of the battery level) ... Sometimes it makes me want to throw it out the window. Someone else happens?
