Another rival for the Apple Watch? Halfbeak, is the bet of HTC and Under Armor

We are at a time when it seems that smart watches could once again have a leading role in a market that has not really bought these devices as expected. A couple of years ago, the forecasts for these devices were really spectacular and all analysts predicted a resounding success for wearables, something that only a few companies have really managed to achieve and we believe that Apple (despite not showing official figures) is a of them with your Apple Watch. In any case, the recent rumors about the launch of smart watches resurface for this year 2017 and the specialized media are quick to show some leaked photos and data about them, in this case what we have on the table is the Leaked photo of the smartwatch created and designed by a partnership between HTC and Under Armor.

The Halfbeak smartwatch has been leaked on the Chinese social network Weibo and is expected to have a nice design and interesting internal specifications prepared to compete with the devices that will be launched at the same time or during this year. In this case the Halfbeak adds a screen with 360 × 360 resolution, it has a metal case, the HTC and Under Armor logo on the back, a heart rate sensor and for the moment Android Wear 1.3, but It is expected to receive the new Android Wear 2.0 version supposedly on February 9 which is when it is rumored it could reach these wearables.

It seems incredible that the one that HTC is falling with continues to fight to get up and this is something that really strengthens the brand by the determination to create new devices, but this project is risky despite everything, since Apple itself, Samsung or even LG, are quite established in this market of smart watches and it will be difficult to gain a foothold in it. In addition, LG has in hand a project of two watches with Google to fight with the Apple Watch and this would also be presented shortly, hopefully at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to be held this coming month.
