Samsung Introduces First QLED Curved Monitor with Thunderbolt 3

Although there are still a few days to go before the largest consumer technology fair that takes place one more year in Las Vegas begins, several are the manufacturers that are beginning to present their products a few days before, in order to avoid going unnoticed during the days the fair lasts. A couple of days ago, LG introduced an 88-inch TV with 8k resolution and OLED technology. Now it's Samsung's turn, but in the monitors section, where we can see the Samsung CJ791, a monitor with QLED technology, with a 21: 9 screen ratio and QHD resolution which also comes hand in hand with a Thuberbolt 3 connection.

The 791-inch Samsung CJ34 monitor is the first monitor to integrate QLED technology in combination with the Thunderbolt 3 connection, a connection that offers transfer rates of up to 40 GB per second, 4 times the speed that we can find in other alternatives USB. With a power of 85 w, we can charge using the monitor connected to our MacBook without using its battery, since the power supply is responsible for supplying power to both the monitor and the MacBoook.

For some time now, it seems that the Korean company Samsung, has left OLED technology aside to focus on QLED, leaving the market for OLED screens almost completely, to its main rival, LG, who in recent years has reached an agreement with Apple to be the official supplier of Apple monitors that have replaced the Cinema Display a long time ago. Couple of years. For now, the company has more details about this monitor, details that we can check if we stop by the Samsung booth in Las Vegas from January 9 to 12.
