Scourge: Outbreak, a shooter with a Spanish flavor

I have always considered myself a great fan of video games, especially those of driving and first person shooter, with which the game that we analyze today even having a third person view (Third Person Shooter), Scourge: Outbreak promises a lot in its approach. Before starting the analysis, it should be noted that the game has been created entirely by Tragnarion Studios, a developer based in Mallorca and founded in 2003 with only nine people on staff at the time.

Now even being a 'modest' study compared to the big ones, it already has fifty designers, artists and developers among its ranks, so a priori it has given me a lot of hope of finding something really good in the game ... let's see if it has.

Once the game is downloaded on Steam I am about to play a game and see what it has to offer me. To begin with, the game engine is already the well-known Unreal Engine 3, which has been licensed by the Mallorcan studio for the occasion, although it must be said, the possibilities of it have not been exploited much less, occasionally having the odd graphical bug and with a debatable mapping choice. Although the premise was good, the truth is that not particularly different from other TPS in terms of game mechanics, that is, linear advancement and corridor through the scenarios ... until you reach one in the open air with the consequent cover and shoot. This could have been fun if the matches had had other more 'original' approaches but it ends up being monotonous and quite tedious (much seen).

At this point, special emphasis has been placed on cooperative mode with other 3 companions both locally and onlineThis is the best addition to the game because the mechanics, as I have already mentioned, are wrong, from the 'rare' animations of the characters when moving to the covers in the pure 'Gears of War' style, a game from which it drinks in many aspects but remains as a simple beginner not reaching the level of the master The sound effects are passable like the rest of the sound section, in addition to seeing me in need of notify boaters Regarding the game in this version for Mac, since if you have a magic mouse, consider changing it when you go to play since aiming and shooting has not been considered for the only button on this mouse, which makes me suspect of a simple port to Mac without paying special attention to this point.

In any case, it seems to me a good attempt by the developer with which to spend a few hours before a correct product that even with its faults it also has good moments with intense exchanges of shots, especially when it comes to open areas that are not corridors. Regarding the download of the game, you can do it through steam with any of these two review codes, which we give to the first ones who make the exchange:

If you want more, we are going to give away as many codes through our Twitter account from which you can become followers by clicking this link. The normal price of the game is 7,99 Euros with the odd DLC at 1,99 Euros.
