When recording the screen of our Mac, for about 3 years, Apple offers us this possibility without having to resort to third-party applications through the QuickTime application, an application with which we can also record the screen of our iPhone, iPad or iPod without any problem.
While it is true that QuickTime works very well, it may be that for some users, the user interface that it offers us is not simple, either by the names of the available options, or by the way to access them. Fortunately, if we find ourselves in need of recording the screen of our Mac and we do not want to use QuickTime, in the Mac App Store we have more options.
Screen Recorder, is one of the applications that we have at our disposal in the Mac App Store and that allow us to record the screen of our Mac, We cannot also record the screen of our iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. The user interface is much clearer than the one we can find in QuickTime, so there is no need for tutorials if you search on the Internet to be able to use the application.
Screen Recorder, not only allows us to record everything that is shown on the screen of our Mac, but also, allows us to save the clicks we make with the mouse, so that it is much easier to show where to click in case we do tutorials.
It also allows us establish the audio input that we need at all times, either the Mac's own, to record the sound that is played, or to record our voice while we show the steps to follow in the tutorial we are doing. In addition, it is compatible with keyboard shortcuts, it allows us to set the directory where we want to store the video that we are recording, video that we can save in MOV format.
